Test the thermistor

If you have a multimeter, you can test the freezer thermistor for proper resistance.
Set the multimeter to the ohm setting.
Measure the thermistor's resistance across the two terminals on the connector.
Attached is a chart of the resistances of the freezer thermistor at various temperatures.
