Take the driver's side wiper blade and pull it in a downward motion, releasing it from the wiper arm. Do the same for the passenger's side wiper blade.
Sometimes these joints can rust, especially if it has been a while since the last wiper blade replacement. If this is the case, just use a bit more force and it should release no problem.
