Replacing the old thermal paste.

  • Unscrew the 6 screws holding the heatsink and lift it up, gently.

  • Clean the old thermal paste both from the cooler and the CPU. It is best to use isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs or paper towel, but be careful not to go too hard on the CPU.

  • Don`t use too much thermal paste, just enough to cover some portion of the pad. If you have a spreader, use it. The thermal paste will apply evenly after you tighten the heatsink.

  • Last, put the heatsink back carefully and tighten the screws in order 1 -> 6 to ensure even pressure.

Reemplazando la antigua pasta térmica

Desenrosca todos los 6 tornillos que sostienen al disipador y levántalo, cuidadosamente.

Limpia la antigua pasta térmica tanto del disipador como del procesador. Lo mejor es utilizar alcohol isopropílico y copitos de algodón o toallitas de papel, pero ten cuidado de no presionar demasiado fuerte sobre el procesador.

No uses demasiada pasta térmica, solo lo suficiente para cubrir cierta parte del procesador. Si tienes una espátula, utilízala. La pasta térmica se esparcirá uniformemente después de que atornilles el disipador.

Por último, coloca de vuelta el disipador y aprieta los tornillos con cuidado en orden del 1 al 6 para garantizar una presión uniforme.
