Opening the bottom

Turn the phone onto its backside.
You should be able to pull the case away, but if you can't still, insert your opening pick or ifixit opening tool into the bottom of the battery slot. Slide your tool to the right.
Be careful! The antenna could possibly be damaged by a harsh movement.
