Disconnect the lid angle sensor

Use the point of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the lid angle sensor from the top left corner of the MacBook.
If your replacement screen does not come with a lid‑angle sensor installed on the hinge, you'll need to remove the sensor. Use a 1IP Torx Plus screwdriver to remove the screw securing the sensor. Then, remove the sensor and set it aside for reassembly.
During reassembly, if you removed the lid angle sensor, install it on your replacement screen's hinge.
