Boot from the flash drive

  • Boot from the USB flash drive by rebooting your PC while pressing the key that opens the boot-device selection menu.

  • This will vary from device to device, but typically Enter, Esc, F10 or F12 are a good starting point.

  • Select the option that boots the PC from the USB flash drive.

  • This will typically be called something along the lines of USB: Mass Storage.

  • Some devices, like the Microsoft Surface tablets, don’t use a menu and just directly boot from USB when p. ex. the Volume-Down button is pressed while turning the device on.

Opstarten vanaf de USB stick

Start op vanaf de USB-stick door je pc opnieuw op te starten terwijl je de toets ingedrukt houdt waarmee je het menu voor de selectie van het opstartapparaat opent.

Dit verschilt per apparaat, maar meestal zijn Enter, Esc, F10 of F12 een goed beginpunt.

Selecteer de optie waarmee de pc wordt opgestart vanaf de USB-stick.

Dit wordt meestal aangeduid met een naam als USB: Mass Storage.

Sommige apparaten, zoals de Microsoft Surface-tablets, gebruiken geen menu en starten direct op vanaf USB, bijvoorbeeld wanneer de knop Volume omlaag wordt ingedrukt terwijl het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld.
