Remove the hall effect sensor and powertrain/motor

Remove the hall effect sensor from its mount by pressing down on the tab indicated in the first image and sliding it out.
Remove the powertrain/motor, placing it to the side in a safe location where it can't get damaged.
Take care to protect the motor/powertrain, especially the plastic fan at the rear, as damage to any part of the powertrain/motor (including said fan) will require replacement of the entire unit.
