Clearing the cold water path

  • By now, the descaler should have done its job on the path leading to the boilers (scale shouldn't be much of an issue where the water is cold here, but it can't hurt)

  • With the machine heated up, and fresh water in both the tank and in the boilers, run your brew cycle, hot water tap and steam until the water level in the tank reduces a bit. We should now have sparkling clean lines leading to the boilers. However, the boilers now have just a bit of descaler mixed with the fresh water. Turn the machine off

  • Since the boilers never completely drain, we have to drain and rinse them one last time. Repeat the previous step to do this, and replace the probes and wires for the final time!

Het koudwaterpad schoonmaken.

De ontkalker zou nu zijn werk moeten hebben gedaan op het pad dat naar de boilers leidt (kalkaanslag zou niet zo'n probleem moeten zijn als het water hier koud is, maar het kan geen kwaad).

Als de machine is opgewarmd en er vers water in zowel de tank als in de boilers zit, laat je de brouwcyclus, heetwaterkraan en stoom lopen tot het waterniveau in de tank wat daalt. We zouden nu blinkend schone leidingen naar de boilers moeten hebben. In de boilers zit nu een beetje ontkalker gemengd met het verse water. Zet de machine uit.

Omdat de boilers nooit helemaal leeglopen, moeten we ze nog een laatste keer aftappen en spoelen. Herhaal hiervoor de vorige stap en vervang voor de laatste keer de sondes en draden!
