Soldering in the new connector

  • In the image the soldering and how it maps to the pads on the PCB are shown.

  • The GND can be connected to the large copper area. Just scratch away a bit of the green isolating layer. A bit of flux helps.

  • The soldering of the data lines is abit fiddly and rather for people with some soldering skills. Thin coil wire is a helpful.

  • In yellow the CC2 connection is shown. It requires a 5.1kOhm resistor to GND for correct identification by USB standard. The yellow rectangle represents the small SMD resistor.

  • If rotation of the cable is not needed, the data lines can be soldered to only the two 1DP and 1DN pins.

  • After testing, reassemble the whole keyboard. Thelast image shows how the USB-C fits into the opening.

Leitungen im neuen Stecker anlöten

Auf dem Bild wird gezeigt, wie die Kontakte den Lötstellen auf der Leiterplatte zugeordnet sind.

Die GND-Verbindung kann an die große Kupferfläche angeschlossen werden. Kratze dafür einfach etwas von der grünen Isolationsschicht ab. Ein wenig Flussmittel hilft beim Anlöten.

Das Anlöten der Datenleitungen ist etwas knifflig und eher für Personen mit etwas Löterfahrung geeignet. Dünner Kupferdraht kann dabei hilfreich sein.

Die CC2-Verbindung ist gelb markiert. Sie benötigt einen 5,1-kOhm-Widerstand zu GND, damit sie gemäß dem USB-Standard korrekt erkannt wird. Der kleinen SMD-Widerstand ist mit einem gelben Rechteck markiert.

Wenn du den Stecker niemals umdrehen willst, reicht es, wenn du die Datenleitungen nur an die beiden Pins 1DP und 1DN anlötest.

Baue nach dem Testen die gesamte Tastatur wieder zusammen. Das letzte Bild zeigt, wie der USB-C-Anschluss in die Öffnung passt.
