Changing the thermal paste and pad.

  • Unscrew the 4 screws holding the CPU heatsink and disconnect the fan.

  • Lift up the assembly, gently.

  • Clean the old thermal paste both from the cooler and the CPU. It is best to use isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs or paper towel, but be careful not to go too hard on the CPU.

  • Dont use too much thermal paste, just enough to cover some portion of the dye. If you have a spreader, use it. The thermal paste will apply evenly after you tighten the heatsink.

  • Replace the thermal pad on the video chip if necessary. Be sure to use the same thickness thermal pad.

Cambiando la pasta térmica y las almohadillas.

Desenrosca los 4 tornillos que sostienen el disipador del CPU y desconecta el ventilador.

Levanta el conjunto con cuidado.

Limpia la antigua pasta térmica tanto del disipador como del procesador. Lo mejor es utilizar alcohol isopropílico y copitos de algodón o toallas de papel, pero ten cuidado de no presionar con fuerza sobre el procesador.

No uses demasiada pasta térmica, solo lo suficiente para cubrir cierta parte del procesador. Si tienes una espátula, utilízala. La pasta térmica se esparcirá uniformemente después de que atornilles el disipador.

Reemplaza la almohadilla térmica del chip de video si es necesario. Asgúrate de usar almohadillas del mismo grosor.
