Loosen the display adhesive

  • Apply a heated iOpener to the screen for 3 minutes to loosen the adhesive underneath.

  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the device. The edge should feel slightly too hot to touch.
