How to remove a stuck battery

  • Follow this step if you couldn't loosen the battery using the battery release strip.

  • Apply a few drops of high concentration (90% or higher) isopropyl alcohol into the gap at the top edge of the battery.

  • Don't apply too much alcohol, or you'll loosen the NFC antenna and charging coil underneath the battery.

  • Wait about one minute for the alcohol solution to weaken the adhesive.

  • Use the flat end of a spudger or an opening pick to gently lift the top edge of the battery until you can grab it with your fingers.

  • Don't use excessive force on the battery. Slow, consistent pressure is all that's required to free it from the frame.

  • Take care not to puncture or bend the battery with your tool—a punctured or bent battery may leak dangerous chemicals or cause a fire.

Como remover una batería atorada

Sigue este paso si no pudiste aflojar la batería usando la cinta de liberación.

Aplica unas gotas de alcohol isopropílico de alta concentración (90% o mayor) en el hueco en el borde superior de la batería.

No apliques mucho alcohol, o aflojarás la antena NFC y la bobina de carga de debajo de la batería.

Espera cerca de un minuto para que la solución de alcohol afloje el adhesivo.

Usa la punta plana de un spudger o una púa de apertura pare levantar gentilmente el borde superior de la batería hasta que puedas agarrarlo con tus dedos.

No uses fuerza excesiva en la batería. Lenta, presión constante es lo que se requiere para liberarla del marco.

Ten cuidado de no perforar o doblar la batería con tu herramienta — una batería perforada o doblada puede dejar escapar químicos peligrosos o causar un incendio.
