Use sandpaper to repair structural damage and roughen the material to make it easier for glue to bond. Lightly rub the heel and sole of the show in small, concentric motions until the surface is completely leveled and smooth.

Apply a generous coating of superglue on both the heel and the sole of the shoe so that a thick layer of glue forms between the sole and heel layers.
