Remove the back cover

Grab the cover by the edge closest to you.
Lift the cover up. Swing it open so that the rear edge lifts up last.
Completely remove the cover from the laptop.
If the back cover is stuck to laptop body, use an opening pick to slide around the perimeter of the back cover to release any remaining clips.
