Soften your adhesive with the heat gun

Warm up the badge using your heat gun.
Take care not to over heat the badge! You're only softening the adhesive underneath the badge, not cooking it.
Think of how warm the exterior of a car gets when it sits out in the sun during the summer. That will act as your reference point.
