Unfasten the MagSafe port

Use a 2IP Torx Plus driver to loosen (don't remove) the two MagSafe Port set screws a few turns above the frame.
In a pinch, you can use a standard T2 Torx driver to loosen these screws. Make sure to apply constant, downward force to prevent stripping.
Use a T3 Torx driver to loosen the two 3.7 mm screws enough to unfasten the MagSafe port.
These screws are not magnetic—be careful not to lose them.
