Prepare your device

  • Unplug any cables connected to your Steam Deck.

  • Turn on your Steam Deck and allow the battery to discharge below 5% before starting your repairs, as a charged lithium-ion polymer battery can be dangerous if accidentally punctured.

  • Put your Steam Deck into battery storage mode within the BIOS. Read how to do that here.

  • If you have a microSD card installed, make sure to remove it before opening the Steam Deck. If you attempt to remove the back cover with it still installed, it could snap right in half.

  • Pro tip: it can be helpful to lay the Steam Deck face-down into its case to protect the thumbsticks and prevent wobble.

Préparer votre appareil

Débranchez tous les câbles connectés à votre Steam Deck.

Allumez votre Steam Deck et laissez la batterie se décharger en dessous de 5 % avant de démarrer votre réparation. Une batterie lithium-ion peut être très dangereuse si elle est percée accidentellement.

Passez votre Steam Deck en mode stockage de batterie dans le BIOS avant de procéder à des réparations internes. Apprenez comment le faire ici.

Si vous avez installé une carte microSD, enlevez-la avant d'ouvrir la Steam Deck. Si vous essayez de retirer la coque arrière alors qu'elle est encore à l'intérieur, elle pourrait se briser en deux.

Astuce de pro : il peut être utile de poser la Steam Deck à l'envers dans son étui, pour protéger les gâchettes et éviter les mouvements indésirables.
