Pry up the battery

The battery is held in place by mild adhesive.
Insert the edge of an opening pick into the gap between the battery and the back cover assembly.
Take care not to puncture or bend the battery with your tool—a punctured or bent battery may leak dangerous chemicals or cause a fire.
Use the opening pick to carefully pry up the battery and loosen the adhesive.
