Remove the second USB-C port shield

Take care not to puncture or bend the battery with your tweezers—a punctured or bent battery may leak dangerous chemicals or cause a thermal event.
Don't pry up the USB-C port shield near the battery.
Insert one tine of a pair of pointed tweezers under one of the shield's corners closest to the left speaker.
Slide the tine along the edge of the shield to detach the corner from the frame.
