Insert an opening pick

  • Once the screen is warm to touch, apply a suction handle to the left edge of the screen and as close to the edge as possible.

  • If your screen is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction handle. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the screen.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and the frame.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap between the midframe and the screen.

  • Slide the opening pick to the top left corner of the screen to slice its adhesive.

  • Only use the tip of the opening pick (~4-5 mm) during this procedure to avoid tangling with the in-display fingerprint cable or accidentally tearing it.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Breng een openingsplectrum in de opening aan

Als het scherm eenmaal te warm is om aan te raken, druk je een zuignap op de linkerzijde van het scherm, zo dicht mogelijk bij de rand van het toestel.

Als je scherm gebarsten is, kan het zijn dat de zuignap zich niet vast kan zuigen. Beplak je scherm in dat geval met een aantal lagen doorzichtige tape. Als alternatief kun je een stuk sterke tape gebruiken om het scherm omhoog te trekken. Als dat alles niet lukt, kun je je zuignap op het scherm vastlijmen met behulp van secondelijm.

Til het scherm aan de hand van je zuignap omhoog om zo een kleine opening te creëren tussen het scherm en het frame.

Steek een openingsplectrum in de opening tussen het midframe en het scherm.

Schuif je plectrum naar de linker bovenhoek van het scherm en snijd onderweg alle lijm door.

Zorg dat je enkel de punt van je openingsplectrum (ongeveer 4-5 mm) in de opening steekt om te voorkomen dat je de vingerafdruksensorkabel in het scherm beschadigt.

Laat je plectrum op z'n plek in de hoek zitten om te voorkomen dat de lijm zich opnieuw aan het toestel gaat hechten.
