Remove the battery

  • Grab both pull–tab ends labeled with an A and pull up on the orange adhesive strip to lift the battery out of its recess and swing it up to an upright position.

  • Although these adhesive tabs are supposed to make the battery removal easier, they may require some force. In case you're having trouble removing the battery, you can apply a heated iOpener to the center of the display to loosen the adhesive underneath.

  • Peel the battery off the remaining adhesive.

  • Remove the battery.

  • Do not reinstall a damaged or deformed battery, as doing so is a potential safety hazard.

  • During reassembly, temporarily reconnect the battery to the motherboard to help align it correctly. Disconnect the battery after it is seated.

Akku entfernen

Fasse die beiden mit A markierten Enden des orangenen Klebestreifens an und kippe den Akku aus seiner Vertiefung heraus, bis er senkrecht steht.

Die Zuglaschen sind zwar dafür gedacht, den Ausbau des Akkus zu erleichtern, es kann aber trotzdem recht schwer gehen. In diesem Fall kannst du einen erwärmten iOpener in der Mitte des Displays auflegen, um den Kleber darunter aufzuweichen.

Löse den Akku vom restlichen Kleber ab.

Entferne den Akku.

Baue einen beschädigten oder verformten Akku nicht wieder ein, das wäre ein Sicherheitsrisiko.

Schließe den Akku beim Zusammenbau zeitweise wieder an das Motherboard an, damit er seine richtige Einbaulage findet. Trenne ihn dann wieder ab.
