Opening the laptop

  • Remove the battery.

  • Remove the 2 screws holding the CPU panel.

  • Dont forget to disconnect the fan cable.

  • Remove all screws that hold the cooling assembly and carefully wiggle it out of the laptop.

  • Now is a good idea to upgrade the CPU if needed.

  • Clean the old thermal paste both from the cooler and the CPU. It is best to use isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs or paper towel, but be careful not to go too hard on the CPU.

  • Dont use too much thermal paste, just enough to cover some portion of the pad. If you have a spreader, use it. The thermal paste will apply evenly after you tighten the heatsink.

Abriendo el portátil

Retira la batería.

Remueve los 2 tornillos que sostienen el panel del CPU.

No olvides desconectar el cable del ventilador.

Remueve todos los tornillos que sostienen el conjunto de la disipación de calor y sácalo con cuidado del portátil.

Ahora es buena idea mejorar el CPU si es necesario.

Limpia la antigua pasta térmica tanto del disipador como del procesador. Lo mejor es utilizar alcohol isopropílico y copitos de algodón o toallas de papel, pero ten cuidado de no presionar con fuerza sobre el procesador.

No uses demasiada pasta térmica, solo lo suficiente para cubrir cierta parte del procesador. Si tienes una espátula, utilízala. La pasta térmica se esparcirá uniformemente después de que atornilles el disipador.
