Insert an opening pick

  • Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the rear glass is cracked, the suction handle may not stick. Try lifting it with strong tape, or superglue the suction handle in place and allow it to cure so you can proceed.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • In case you have trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive. Follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap you created.

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.

  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Steek een openingsplectrum in de opening

Druk een zuignap op de onderkant van de glazen achterkant, zo dicht mogelijk bij de rand.

Als je glazen achterkant gebarsten is, kan de zuignap zich minder goed vastzuigen. In dat geval kun je een stuk sterke tape gebruiken in plaats van een zuignap of kun je de zuignap op de achterkant lijmen met wat secondelijm.

Til de glazen achterkant omhoog met behulp van de zuignap om zo een kleine opening te creëren tussen de achterste behuizing en het frame.

Als je moeite hebt met het creëren van een opening kun je je toestel verder verwarmen om de lijm nog verder te verzwakken. Volg de instructies van de iOpener om oververhitting van je toestel te voorkomen.

Steek een openingsplectrum in de zojuist door jou gecreëerde opening.

Schuif je plectrum naar de rechter benedenhoek om de lijm door te snijden.

Laat je plectrum in de hoek zitten om te voorkomen dat de lijm zich opnieuw aan het toestel gaat hechten.
