Connect again the stop lamb switch and make sure that the pedal stopper pad touches the button when you release the brake pedal.
If it touches the button in this position, the back lights will detect that the car is not braking, so the lights will turn off.
They will turn on when the pedal is pushed, which means that the car is braking.
