  • Before finding a way inside these plugs, we remove the silicone eartips.

  • The eartips sled over an oval groove outside the earbud head, providing a relatively large sound opening.

  • Since these are sled-over tips, they should be replaceable with any aftermarket tips you prefer. That's worth something (for Nothing).

  • Since the vise and heating procedure was a good choice in previous earbud teardowns, we decide to put a little bit of pressure on the Ear (1) to get inside the opaque head.

  • Success! With the help of a halberd spudger, we can peek into previously hidden components.

Première étape pour nous frayer un chemin à l'intérieur : retirer les embouts en silicone.

Ces embouts recouvrent une cavité ovale à l'extérieur de la tête de l'écouteur. En résulte une ouverture relativement grande pour le son.

Étant donné que ce sont des embouts à enfiler, ils devraient être remplaçables par n'importe quel coussinet du marché. Bonne nouvelle !

La combinaison étau + chaleur s'est révélée judicieuse lors de précédents démontages d'écouteurs, donc nous décidons de mettre un peu la pression sur les ear (1) pour entrer dans leur tête opaque.

Victoire ! Grâce à notre spatule hallebarde, nous allons pouvoir dévoiler au grand jour les composants cachés jusqu'à présent.
