  • Most of the Galaxy watches that pass through our hands are—in contrast with other smart watches—screen repair friendly. The Galaxy Watch4 series maintains that streak … at least half-way.

  • The Watch4 Classic, like the Watch3, prioritizes simple display removal. With a little heating, we're able to separate the circular AMOLED screen from the frame with the push of a finger.

  • Unfortunately, the standard Watch4 isn't so friendly. This time we're forced to grab our heating and prying tools to take on that screen.

  • And we're rewarded with cracked display glass and a toasted yellow AMOLED. At least the screen isn't blocking access to any other repairs—if you're prying the screen off, it's probably already broken.

De meeste Galaxy-horloges die in onze handen terechtkomen zijn—in tegenstelling tot de meeste andere smartwatches—reparatievriendelijk wanneer het aankomt op schermreparaties. De Galaxy Watch4 houdt die eer hoog.. tenminste, half-hoog..

De Watch4 Classic prioriteert, net zoals de Watch3, het simpel kunnen verwijderen van het scherm. Met een beetje warmte en een duw met een vinger zijn we al snel in staat om het ronde AMOLED-scherm van het frame te scheiden.

Helaas is de standaard Watch4 niet zo vriendelijk. Deze keer worden we gedwongen onze verwarm- en wriktools tevoorschijn te halen om het scherm los te krijgen.

En we worden uiteindelijk beloond met een gebarsten glazen scherm en een geroosterd, geel AMOLED-scherm. Gelukkig is het scherm niet de toegangspoort voor andere reparaties en betekent het dat als je het scherm los aan het wrikken bent dat je scherm waarschijnlijk al kapot is.
