Apply protective tape

  • While iFixit's adhesive remover is generally safe to use on electronics, it contains a slight amount of acetone, which may discolor black plastic components. Protect these components with masking tape.

  • Cut a strip of painter's tape or masking tape to the width of the iPad.

  • Press the bottom edge of the tape strip onto the rear case below the upper components.

  • Run your finger along the bottom edge of tape strip to ensure a good seal.

  • Press the top edge of the tape strip over the upper components.

Klebeband zum Schutz anbringen

Der iFixit Klebstoffentferner ist zwar im Allgemeinen bei elektronischen Geräten unbedenklich, aber er enthält eine geringe Menge Aceton, das die schwarzen Kunststoffkomponenten verfärben kann. Schütze diese Komponenten daher mit Abdeckband.

Schneide einen Streifen Abdeckband oder Malerkrepp auf die Breite des iPads zu.

Drücke die Unterkante des Bands unterhalb der oberen Komponenten auf das Rückgehäuse.

Fahre mit dem Finger an der Unterkante des Streifens entlang, um sicherzustellen, dass er gut anhaftet.

Drücke die Oberkante des Klebebands über die oberen Komponenten.
