  • Use an opening pick or a halberd spudger to peel the power button cable away from the bracket.

  • Remove the power button cable.

  • Compare your new replacement part to the original part—you may need to transfer remaining components or remove adhesive backings from the new part before you install it.

  • During reassembly, transfer the ambient light sensor gasket over to the new power button cable.

  • During reassembly, follow this guide if you are using a pre-cut adhesive card to attach the new cable to the power button bracket.
