Heating the Shrinking Tube

  • When enough glue has been added, apply heat from the lighter or other heat sources onto the heat shrink.

  • Be sure to apply heat in a back and forth motion. Alternative heating option can be hair dryer or heat gun.

  • Glue oozing out the sides is a good sign that you’ve applied enough.

  • Warning! Open Flame. Do not hold the heat source to one spot of the heat shrink or you will risk burning and damaging the cord.

Chauffer la gaine thermorétractable

Une fois qu'il y a suffisamment de colle, faites chauffer la gaine avec un briquet ou toute autre source de chaleur.

Effectuez des mouvements de va-et-vient le long de la gaine. Vous pouvez également utiliser un sèche-cheveux ou un pistolet à air chaud.

Si de la colle coule sur les bords, c'est bon signe ! Vous avez mis suffisamment de colle.

Attention ! Flamme ! Ne pointez pas la source de chaleur trop longtemps au même endroit ou vous risquez de brûler ou endommager le câble.
