Heat and then apply pressure to ribbon cable connection.

  • I protected the LCD screen itself with a silicon baking mould (not sure if that was necessary!) Heat the part of the ribbon cable that attaches to the pcb. I gave it 10 secs with a small heat gun.

  • Apply pressure to the area - You want to avoid puncturing the shiny protective cover-tape but to compress and hopefully re-connect the tiny terminals underneath. There are about ten of them, so i used the sharp end of a spudger and rubbed back and forth parallel to the ribbon

Calienta y luego aplica presión a la conexión del cable plano.

Protegí la pantalla LCD con un molde de silicona para hornear (¡no estoy seguro si eso era necesario!). Calienta la parte del cable plano que se conecta a la PCB. Le di 10 segundos con una pequeña pistola de calor.

Aplica presión en el área: deseas evitar perforar la cinta protectora brillante, pero comprimir y, con suerte, volver a conectar los pequeños terminales que se encuentran debajo. Hay alrededor de diez, así que usé el extremo afilado de un spudger y los froté hacia adelante y hacia atrás en paralelo a la cinta.
