  • I protected the LCD screen itself with a silicon baking mould (not sure if that was necessary!) Heat the part of the ribbon cable that attaches to the pcb. I gave it 10 secs with a small heat gun.

  • Apply pressure to the area - You want to avoid puncturing the shiny protective cover-tape but to compress and hopefully re-connect the tiny terminals underneath. There are about ten of them, so i used the sharp end of a spudger and rubbed back and forth parallel to the ribbon

Erwärme die Verbindungsstelle des Flachbandkabels und übe Druck aus...

Ich habe den LCD-Bildschirm mit einer Backform aus Silicon geschützt (ich weiß nicht, ob das nötig war!). Erhitze den Teil des Flachbandkabels, der mit der Platine verbunden ist. Ich habe ihn 10s mit einem kleinen Heißluftfön erwärmt.

Übe Druck auf die Stelle aus - Du solltest Schäden an der glänzenden Schutzfolie vermeiden und versuchen, Druck auf die kleinen Anschlüsse darunter zu geben, damit sich diese wieder verbinden. Von diesen gibt es ca. 10, also habe ich die scharfe Seite eines Spatels verwendet und parallel zum Flachbandkabel hin und her gerieben.
