Remove Existing Bezel

  • Always power down your device before attempting any repair.

  • This is the only stressful part of the repair but is surprisingly easier than it seems.

  • You need to remove the existing cracked bezel. Use a hairdryer to carefully loosen the adhesive.

  • NOTE: The adhesive is a 4mm strip of double-sided tape and it is only on the top side of the bezel. Be extra careful if you are using a hairdryer or heatgun.

  • You may not need to use heat to loosen the adhesive, I simply used tweezers to pick off bits of glass and was able to slowly take one side off. Then simply running my nail down the other half, the whole bezel came off in one go.

Rimuovere la cornice esistente (rotta)

Spegni sempre il dispositivo prima di tentare qualsiasi riparazione.

Questa è l'unica parte stressante della riparazione, ma sorprendentemente è più facile di quanto sembri.

Devi rimuovere la cornice incrinata esistente. Usa un asciugacapelli per allentare con cautela l'adesivo.

NOTA: L'adesivo è una striscia di nastro biadesivo di 4 mm ed è presente solo sul lato superiore della cornice. Fai attenzione se stai usando un asciugacapelli o un phon.

Potresti non aver bisogno di usare calore per allentare l'adesivo; io ho semplicemente usato delle pinzette per staccare pezzetti di vetro e sono riuscito a rimuovere lentamente un lato. Poi, facendo scorrere semplicemente l'unghia sull'altro lato, tutta la cornice è venuta via facilmente. Se non hai unghie lunghe puoi usare un plettro per facilitarti.
