Changing the thermal paste

  • Disconnecting the battery is highly recommended.

  • Unscrew the 4 screws holding the CPU heatsink and disconnect the fan.

  • Clean the old thermal paste from both the cooler and the CPU.

  • Use isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs or paper towel, but be careful not to press too hard on the CPU.

  • It's also recommended to use compressed air to remove any dust in the laptop and the fan.

  • Use only enough thermal paste to cover a portion of the pad. Use a spreader if you have one.

  • The thermal paste will apply evenly after you tighten the heatsink.

  • Place the heatsink back into the unit carefully and tighten the screws in an "X" pattern to ensure even pressure. Don't forget to plug in the fan cable.

Cambiando la pasta térmica

Es altamente recomendable desconectar la batería.

Desenrosca los 4 tornillos que sostienen el disipador del procesador y desconecta el ventilador.

Limpia la antigua pasta térmica tanto del disipador como del procesador.

Utiliza alcohol isopropílico y copitos de algodón o toallitas de papel, pero ten cuidado de no presionar demasiado fuerte sobre el procesador.

También es recomendable utilizar aire comprimido para retirar cualquier sucio del computador y del ventilador.

Utiliza solo la suficiente pasta térmica como para cubrir una parte del procesador. Utiliza una espátula si tienes una.

La pasta térmica se esparcirá uniformemente después de que atornilles el disipador.

Coloca de nuevo el disipador en la unidad con cuidado y aprieta los tornillos en forma de "X" para garantizar una presión uniforme. No te olvides de conectar el cable del ventilador.
