Free the fingerprint sensor

  • Use tweezers to lift the fingerprint sensor rubber gasket off of the top plastic pin.

  • Use tweezers to lift the fingerprint sensor rubber gasket off of the bottom plastic pin.

  • Take care to not scratch or yank the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable or pierce the fingerprint senor rubber gasket while removing it.

  • Carefully peel the fingerprint cable off the back cover.
