  • We didn't exactly miss the weird cable snakes encountered in the Mate 30 Pro, but it seems the time has come to face a similar threat in the Mi 11.

  • These three coax cables running down to the daughterboard are threaded over and under each other, making them annoying to remove. In an ideal world, they'd simply float out of the way, like in this photo that we totally didn't stage.

  • Last bits before the battery: this small linear actuator vibration motor, and the daughterboard. PS, while there's no official IP rating for the Mi 11, we spot a decent amount of rubber gasketry around the speaker and charging port areas.

  • Both the USB-C charging port and the SIM card reader are soldered to the daughterboard. Thankfully it's easy enough to reach, and the part itself doesn't look too expensive (although ideally we’d still prefer separate components to make individual repairs easier).

Ce n'est pas que la nappe anaconda rencontrée dans le Mate 30 Pro nous manquait, mais on dirait bien qu'une menace similaire nous guette dans le Mi 11.

Ces trois câbles coaxiaux qui rejoignent la carte fille sont si bien enchevêtrés que les retirer est fort pénible. Dans un monde idéal, ils se redresseraient tous seuls, comme sur la photo qui non, n'est pas une mise en scène.

Derniers embouts avant la batterie : ce petit moteur vibreur linéaire et la carte fille. PS : Même si le Mi 11 n'a pas d'indice IP officiel, nous dénichons un peu de matériel étanche en caoutchouc dans la zone du haut-parleur et du port de charge.

Le port de charge USB-C et le lecteur de carte SIM sont soudés à la carte fille. Heureusement, ils sont assez faciles d'accès et cette pièce ne semble pas trop coûteuse, mais nous aurions quand même préféré des composants indépendants qui se remplacent individuellement.
