Removing the Keyboard

  • Unfortunately, pictures of the removal were not taken but there are several YouTube videos demonstrating the process.

  • First, remove the battery and then remove two rubber bungs which are then visible in the battery compartment. Their surfaces are flush with the battery compartment roof.

  • Using two notches to gain access, slide the inter-key sheet upwards, revealing 6 small screws.

  • Remove these screws.

  • Now carefully lift the top of the keyboard and angle it towards you, revealing its two ribbon cables.

  • Gently lift the locking tabs on the ribbon cables and withdraw the ribbons. You can now remove the keyboard.

  • On different laptops, there are several methods of removing the keyboard. In some, you only need to release tabs along the top. Others are retained by screws under a bezel between the keyboard and the screen or they are accessed from the underside of the laptop.

Quitar el teclado

Desafortunadamente, no se tomaron fotografías de la eliminación, pero hay varios videos de YouTube que muestran el proceso.

Primero, extrae la batería y luego retira los dos tapones de goma que quedan visibles en el compartimento de la batería. Sus superficies están al ras con el techo del compartimiento de la batería.

Usando dos muescas para tener acceso, desliza la hoja de inter-tecla hacia arriba, dejando al descubierto 6 tornillos pequeños.

Retira estos tornillos.

Ahora levanta con cuidado la parte superior del teclado e inclínalo hacia ti, revelando sus dos cables planos.

Levanta suavemente las lengüetas de bloqueo de los cables de cinta y retira las cintas. Ahora puedes quitar el teclado.

En diferentes computadoras portátiles, existen varios métodos para quitar el teclado. En algunos, solo necesitas soltar las pestañas en la parte superior. Otros se sujetan con tornillos debajo de un bisel entre el teclado y la pantalla o se accede a ellos desde la parte inferior de la computadora portátil.
