  • Apply a suction cup to the display glass, as close to the center of the top edge as possible.

  • If your display is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken screen.

  • Pull on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the display glass and the frame.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap in the center of the earpiece speaker notch, working it downwards underneath the display.

  • Ensure the pick slides over the front-facing camera and is not pushing against it.

  • Due to the stubborn adhesive, this may take multiple attempts of reheating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup before you get it right.

  • If you are having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to the edge and try again.

  • Leave your pick in the seam to prevent the adhesive from reasealing.

Placez une ventouse sur le verre de l'écran, aussi près que possible du centre du bord supérieur.

Si votre écran est très fissuré, le recouvrir d'une couche de ruban adhésif d'emballage transparent peut permettre à la ventouse d'adhérer. Vous pouvez également utiliser du ruban adhésif très résistant à la place de la ventouse. Si ces solutions échouent, vous pouvez coller la ventouse à l'écran cassé avec de la superglue.

Tirez fortement et de façon régulière sur la ventouse pour créer un espace entre le verre de l'écran et le châssis.

Insérez la pointe d'un médiator dans l'espace situé au centre de l'encoche du haut-parleur interne, en le faisant descendre sous l'écran.

Assurez-vous que le médiator glisse au-dessus de la caméra frontale et ne bute pas contre elle.

La colle étant particulièrement résistante, il faudra peut-être plusieurs tentatives de chauffage avec l'iOpener et de séparation avec la ventouse avant d'y arriver.

Si vous avez du mal à créer un espace, chauffez davantage le bord et réessayez.

Laissez votre médiator dans la fente pour éviter que l'adhésif recolle.
