  • Friends don’t let friends tear down devices without an X-ray blueprint. Lucky for us, we’re BFFs with the fine folks at Creative Electron who supply us with endless X-rays.

  • The basics of this iPhone look about the same as the rest of the 12 family, but the dark steel frame is Pro-only. Also, that MagSafe ring that didn't even fit in the 12 mini looks positively dinky in this Max.

  • One item we're especially interested to see: the wider L-shaped battery—especially because we were bummed by the boring rectangle in the Pro. The Max alone holds onto an L, but, hey, other iPhones? You're still a W in your own special way.

On ne laisse pas un ami démonter un appareil sans lui faire parvenir un cliché radio. Heureusement, nous sommes très copains avec les gars de Creative Electron, nos fidèles fournisseurs en images aux rayons X.

Dans l'ensemble, cet iPhone ressemble au reste de la promo 12, mais le sombre châssis en acier est réservé aux Pro. De même, l'anneau MagSafe qui ne rentrait pas dans le 12 mini est à son aise ici.

Un composant nous intéresse tout particulièrement : le L de la batterie aux dimensions imposantes. Le rectangle banal des Pro nous avait effectivement quelque peu déçus. Seul le Max reste fidèle au L, mais les autres iPhone ? Chacun est génial à sa façon.
