  • With X-ray vision, you can see the four vibration motors (two in the handles, and two near the triggers), the metal joystick hardware, and all the beautiful cables and circuits doing the connecting.

  • Compare this sameness to Sony's new DualSense controller, which is different from its predecessor in almost every way.

  • That may seem disappointing for Xbox fans, but at least these controllers are cross-compatible with Microsoft's previous-gen consoles.

We demonteren deze controller nog niet, aangezien we een hele console, die onze prioriteit heeft, klaar hebben liggen. Maar onze vrienden van Creative Electron bieden ons een ander soort kijkje in de binnenkant.

Met röntgenstraling kun je de vier trilmotors (twee in de handvatten en twee bij de triggers), de metalen joystick hardware en alle mooie bekabeling en circuits die voor het complexere verbindingswerk zorgen.

Vergelijk deze controller met Sony's nieuwe DualSense-controller, welke in vrijwel alle opzichten verschilt van haar voorganger.

Dit kan teleurstellend zijn voor Xbox-fans, maar op z'n minst zijn deze controllers wel cross-compatibel met de oudere generatie consoles van Microsoft.

En ondanks het nieuwe, strakke design deelt de DualSense-controller nu een aantal overeenkomsten met de Xbox-controllers. Zouden Microsoft en Sony eindelijk samen gaan komen in het vormen van de perfecte controller?
