  • You may have heard the PS5 is big—but thankfully, it still fits in Creative Electron's X-ray cabinet. Check out the huge fan, and all the heat pipes overlapping like a freeway interchange.

  • This thing absolutely towers over its predecessor—not to mention its competition.

  • To keep this curvy guy stable, Sony includes a thoughtfully designed stand. With just a bit of fiddling, it allows the PS5 to either pose vertically or lie gracefully on its side.

  • There's also a small cubby on the bottom to stash the stand's screw when in horizontal mode. Smart!

  • Around back, the PS5 shows off its ports: two USB-A 3.0, LAN, HDMI 2.1, and two-pin power. Add those to the duo of USB ports on the front (one Type A, one Type C), and you've got a reasonably well-connected console.

  • The PS5 loses the PS4's optical audio port—possibly disappointing if you're holding onto an older receiver or sound bar.

Potresti aver sentito dire che la PS5 è grande; ma per fortuna ci sta ancora nella cella per raggi X di Creative Electron. Guarda l'enorme dimensione della ventola e tutti i tubi di calore che si sovrappongono come in uno svincolo autostradale.

Questa cosa torreggia, letteralmente, sopra al suo predecessore, per non parlare della concorrenza.

Per mantenere stabile questo tipo tutto curve, Sony integra un supporto progettato con grande cura. Con un modesto intervento manuale, permette alla PS5 di stare in piedi oppure di disporsi elegantemente in orizzontale.

C'è anche un piccolo nascondiglio nella parte inferiore per accogliere la vite del supporto quando la PS5 è in modalità orizzontale. Brillante!

Vista da dietro, la PS5 mostra le sue porte: due USB-A 3.0, LAN, HDMI 2.1 e alimentazione a due pin. Aggiungendo il duo di porte USB disposto anteriormente (una tipo A e una tipo C), ecco una consolle ragionevolmente ben collegabile.

La PS5 perde la porta audio ottica della PS4; un fatto potenzialmente fastidioso se vuoi tenerti i vecchi ricevitori o sound bar.
