Remove the old adhesive

  • Before you install new adhesive strips, remove all of the old adhesive from the perimeter of the rear enclosure.

  • If you are re-using your existing display, you must also remove the old adhesive from the back of the display.

  • Peel off the old strips of adhesive using tweezers or your fingers. Start at the bottom and peel upward towards the top of the device.

  • After all the old adhesive is removed, carefully clean off the adhesive residue with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol (90% or greater) and a lint-free cloth. Wipe in one direction, not back and forth.

  • Don't skip this step, or your new adhesive strips may not bond properly, and the display may fall out of your iMac.

Quita el adhesivo viejo

Antes de instalar nuevas tiras adhesivas, quita todo el adhesivo antiguo del perímetro de la carcasa trasera.

Si estás reutilizando tu pantalla existente, también debes quitar el adhesivo antiguo de la parte posterior de la pantalla.

Quita las tiras viejas de adhesivo con unas pinzas o con los dedos. Comienza desde abajo y despega hacia la parte superior del dispositivo.

Después de quitar todo el adhesivo viejo, limpia cuidadosamente los residuos de adhesivo con alcohol isopropílico de alta concentración (90 % o más) y un paño sin pelusa. Limpia en una dirección, no de un lado a otro.

No te saltes este paso o es posible que las nuevas tiras adhesivas no se adhieran correctamente y que la pantalla se caiga de tu iMac.
