  • One important spec we left out: colors! We opted for Mystic Green on the Note 20, and Mystic Bronze on the Ultra. Why? Because there was no Mystic Blue and Black option.

  • With the two phones now side-by-side in the X-ray cabinet, we've got questions.

  • For instance, why are the wireless charging coils—those concentric rings in the middle of each phone—so different? Samsung hasn't hinted at any major spec differences, but the Ultra has an intriguing double-coil configuration.

  • Come to think of it, we saw something similar in the S20 Ultra.

  • It's also striking how much extra real estate the Ultra devotes to its camera modules. That 108 MP peeper in the middle is already enormous, and that's before Samsung throws in the sliding periscope module right next to it.

Een belangrijke spec die we nog niet hebben benoemd: kleuren! We hebben deze keer gekozen voor de Mystic Green op de Note 20 en Mystic Bronze op de Ultra. Waarom? Omdat er geen Mystic Blue en Black te kiezen waren..

Met de twee telefoons naast elkaar in het röntgenapparaat beginnen de vragen bij ons op te komen.

Bijvoorbeeld: waarom zijn de draadloze oplaadspoelen—die cirkelvormige ringen in het midden van beide telefoons—zo verschillend van elkaar? Samsung heeft geen grote veranderingen aangekondigd, maar de Ultra heeft wel een intrigerende dubbele spoel opstelling.

Nu we er zo eens over nadenken; we zagen iets soortgelijks in de S20 Ultra.

Het valt ons ook op dat de Ultra heel wat ruimte over heeft voor de cameramodules. De 108 MP lens in het midden is al enorm groot, en dat was nog voordat Samsung er een extra, schuivende periscoopmodule naast plaatste.
