  • Carefully insert an opening pick under the bottom of the battery.

  • You may need to reheat and reapply the iOpener repeatedly to further soften the adhesive. The adhesive is tough and it may take a few tries to get the pick started under the battery. If the battery begins bend out of shape, apply more heat or isopropyl alcohol and pry slower.

  • Try your best not to deform the battery during this process. Soft-shell lithium-ion batteries can leak dangerous chemicals, catch fire, or even explode if damaged. Do not use excessive force or pry at the battery with metal tools.

  • Gradually push the pick further under the battery to pry up the bottom edge.

  • Do not insert the pick more that ~1.5 cm past the edge of the battery to avoid damaging the daughterboard and display ribbon cables.

  • Slide the pick all along the bottom edge to release the bottom of the battery.

Insérez soigneusement un médiator sous la partie inférieure de la batterie.

Vous devrez peut-être refaire chauffer et réappliquer l'iOpener à plusieurs reprises pour ramollir l'adhésif. Celui-ci est tenace et il vous faudra peut-être plusieurs essais avant de réussir à insérer le médiator. Si la batterie commence à se déformer, refaites chauffer ou mettez de l'alcool isopropylique et faites levier plus lentement.

Faites de votre mieux pour ne pas déformer la batterie lors de cette étape. Une batterie lithium-ion à carapace molle endommagée risque de laisser s'échapper des substances toxiques dangereuses, de prendre feu, voire même d'exploser.

Enfoncez progressivement le médiator sous la batterie afin de faire levier sur le bord inférieur.

N'enfoncez pas le médiator de plus de 1,5 cm pour éviter d'endommager les nappes de la carte fille et de l'écran.

Faites glisser le médiator le long du bord inférieur pour soulever le bord inférieur de la batterie.
