Cut the Display Adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup to the display, near the middle of the right edge.

  • Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure to create a slight gap between the display and rear case.

  • If the screen is cracked, the suction cup may not stick. Try lifting it with strong tape, or superglue the suction cup in place and allow it to cure so you can proceed.

  • This may require a significant amount of force, but you only need to open a very slight gap with the suction cup to insert your tool.

  • If you have trouble, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive, and try again. The adhesive cools quickly, so you may need to heat it repeatedly.

  • Insert an opening pick (or playing card) into the gap you opened behind the display.

  • Do not insert the tool more than ~1.5 mm past the edge of the display.

Corta el adhesivo de la pantalla

Aplica una ventosa a la pantalla cerca del medio del borde derecho.

Tira hacia arriba de la ventosa con una presión firme y constante para crear un pequeño espacio entre la pantalla y la caja trasera.

Si la pantalla está agrietada, es posible que la ventosa no se pegue. Intenta levantarla con cinta adhesiva fuerte, o pega la ventosa en su lugar y deja que se cure para poder proceder.

Esto puede requerir una cantidad significativa de fuerza, pero sólo necesitas abrir un pequeño espacio con la ventosa para insertar su herramienta.

Si tienes problemas, aplica más calor para ablandar aún más el adhesivo e inténtalo de nuevo. El adhesivo se enfría rápidamente, por lo que es posible que necesite calentarlo repetidamente.

Inserta un púa de apertura (o una carta) en el espacio que abriste detrás de la pantalla.

No insertes la herramienta a más de ~1.5 mm del borde de la pantalla
