  • Flip the phone over so that the display is facing up.

  • Apply a heated iOpener to the right edge of the screen for two minutes.

  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the phone—the internal battery is susceptible to heat damage.

  • As you wait, note the following seams:

  • Display seam—this seam sits above the thin plastic bezel. You need to pry along this seam to separate the display.

  • Frame seam—this seam sits below the thin plastic bezel. Do not pry along this seam or you will damage the plastic bezel.

Snijd de lijm onder het scherm door

Draai de telefoon om zodat het scherm naar boven wijst.

Leg een verwarmde iOpener gedurende twee minuten op de rechterkant van het scherm.

Je kunt hiervoor ook een föhn, warmtepistool of kookplaat gebruiken. Wees bij het gebruik van deze apparaten echter wel voorzichtig dat je je toestel niet oververhit—de batterij en het scherm zijn erg gevoelig voor warmteschade.

Probeer, terwijl je wacht, alvast de volgende naden te vinden:

Schermnaad—deze naad bevindt zich boven het dunne, plasticen frame. Je zult langs de naad moeten wrikken om het scherm los te krijgen.

Framenaad—deze naad bevindt zich onder het dunne, plasticen frame. Wrik niet langs deze naad aangezien je daarmee riskeert het plasticen frame te beschadigen.
