  • Flip the phone over so that the display is facing up.

  • Apply a heated iOpener to the right edge of the screen for two minutes.

  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate may also be used, but be careful not to overheat the phone—the internal battery is susceptible to heat damage.

  • As you wait, note the following seams:

  • Display seam—this seam sits above the thin plastic bezel. You need to pry along this seam to separate the display.

  • Frame seam—this seam sits below the thin plastic bezel. Do not pry along this seam or you will damage the plastic bezel.

Décoller l'écran

Retournez le téléphone de façon que l'écran soit en haut.

Posez un iOpener chauffé sur le bord droit de l'écran pendant deux minutes.

Un sèche-cheveux, un pistolet à air chaud ou une plaque chauffante peuvent aussi faire l'affaire, mais faites attention à ne pas surchauffer le téléphone. La batterie est sensible à la chaleur.

Pendant que vous attendez, observez les jointures suivantes :

La jointure de l'écran au-dessus du mince joint en plastique. C'est le long de celle-ci que vous devrez faire levier pour séparer l'écran.

La jointure du châssis en dessous du mince joint en plastique. Ne faites pas levier ici, vous endommageriez le joint en plastique.
