Identify the adhesive strips

  • Look over your pre-cut adhesive strips and figure out what they are used for.

  • Here are some common adhesives used in a phone repair, and examples of what they may look like:

  • Screen or back cover adhesives—usually the shape of the device

  • Back cover support adhesives—these will match the contours of components pressed against the back cover

  • Battery adhesives—normally a rectangular perimeter roughly the shape of the phone's battery

  • Component adhesives—they will be contoured to match the various components such as cameras and fingerprint sensors they are designed for

  • You usually want to apply the screen or back cover adhesives last. Be sure to apply all component adhesives beforehand, and if possible, test your repair before sealing up the device.

Kijk goed naar je op maat gesneden kleefstrips en probeer uit te vinden waarvoor ze bedoeld zijn.

Hier volgt een aantal voorbeelden van hoe veel voorkomende kleefstrips eruit zien:

Kleefstrips voor het scherm of de achterste behuizing - vaak in de vorm van het toestel

Kleefstrips ter ondersteuning van de achterste behuizing - deze komen overeen met de vormen van de elementen die tegen de achterste behuizing aangedrukt zitten

Kleefstrips voor de batterij - normaal gesproken een rechthoekige omtrek die grofweg de vorm van de batterij heeft

Kleefstrips voor de componenten - de contouren van deze kleefstrips komen vaak overeen met de specifieke componenten waarvoor ze zijn ontworpen, zoals camera's en vingerafdruksensors

Vaak wil je de kleefstrips die voor het scherm of voor de achterste behuizing bedoeld zijn, als laatste aanbrengen. Zorg in ieder geval dat je daarvoor alle kleefstrips voor de componenten hebt aangebracht en, wanneer mogelijk, je toestel hebt getest voordat je het volledig sluit.
