Back cover support adhesive
  • The following four steps show how to install the back cover support adhesive(s).

  • If you're replacing the fingerprint sensor or the rear bezel, be sure to complete those tasks first.

  • Figure out how the support strip aligns with the surfaces by matching the adhesive strip's contours with the adhesive residue and the phone frame.

  • Generally speaking, the adhesive side that's covered by a clear plastic liner should affix to the back cover, while the side that's covered by a colored liner should affix to the phone frame.

  • Use an opening tool and high concentration isopropyl alcohol to remove all adhesive residue from the phone frame.

  • If you're re-using the back cover, remove all adhesive residue from the back cover.

  • Do not use metal tools as they will scratch the back cover's coating.
