  • Hey look, there's a phone attached to this phone! We set about opening this phone's second half, where a comparatively tiny notification screen is flanked by some seriously massive bezels.

  • This non-folding front screen comes off with a little heat and fairly little drama, for a Samsung.

  • It's helped by the flat edges and big bezels—which despite looking kinda funky, actually leaves ample room to pry without stabbing the delicate OLED panel in the process.

  • Flipping the display over reveals the OLED panel is made by Samsung, to the surprise of no one.

  • Along for the ride is Samsung's own S6SY761X touch controller, last seen in pretty much every Samsung teardown.

Regardez, un téléphone est attaché au téléphone ! Nous nous mettons à l'ouvrage pour ouvrir la seconde moitié de ce téléphone, composé d'un écran de notification relativement petit et de joints plutôt massifs.

Un peu de chaleur suffit et l'écran avant non pliable sort sans faire trop d'histoires, pour un Samsung.

Les bords plats et les joints larges sont un atout. Cela contribue à un look décalé, mais laisse suffisamment de place pour faire levier sans poignarder le fragile panneau OLED.

Une fois l'écran retourné, nous découvrons que le panneau OLED est fabriqué par Samsung, ce qui n'est une surprise pour personne.

Le contrôleur tactile S6SY761X de Samsung est également de la partie. Nous l'avons déjà rencontré dans presque tous les démontages d'appareils Samsung.
