  • While these phones sport similar exteriors, the budget-friendly S10e gets a noticeably bigger power button—where its conventional, capacitive fingerprint sensor is housed.

  • The S10 plays things a little closer to the vest, with a fingerprint sensor you can't even see ... without a teardown, that is.

  • Speaking of which, here's hoping that these relocated fingerprint sensors will make our opening procedure a little safer.

  • Despite their subtle differences, the S10 and S10e both agree that headphone jacks are still pretty cool. They've also got matching USB-C, mic, and speaker ports.

  • At the top of the phones, we get our first (in-person) glimpse at some "hole-punch" displays—complete with preinstalled screen protectors.

  • Apparently, a tempered glass screen protector may interfere with the ultrasonic sensor—so this is Samsung's attempt to head off that particular problem. But then, why does the S10e need one?

Ces appareils se ressemblent beaucoup de l'extérieur, mais la version budget, le S10e, dispose d'un bouton d'alimentation sensiblement plus grand, juste au niveau de son lecteur d'empreintes digitales capacitif conventionnel.

Le S10 reste plus discret et son lecteur d'empreintes digitales se dérobe à vos yeux… sauf que nous allons le démonter.

Cela dit, espérons que le déplacement des lecteurs d'empreintes rendra la procédure d'ouverture un peu moins dangereuse.

Malgré quelques subtiles divergences, le S10 et le S10e sont du même avis en ce qui concerne l'importance des prises jack. Pareil pour les ports USB-C et du haut-parleur ainsi que les trous du micro.

Voilà les premiers écrans à trou que nous avons le plaisir d'admirer en personne – protège-écrans préinstallés inclus.

Apparemment un protège-écran en verre trempé pourrait interférer avec le capteur à ultrasons et Samsung voudrait parer au problème de cette façon. Mais alors, pourquoi est-ce que le S10e en a un ?
